The Macallan distillery installation

A permanent projection mapping installation inside The Macallan distillery in Scotland — one of the most architecturally distinctive buildings in the country. The curved grass roof structure presented significant geometric challenges that standard mapping tools couldn’t handle.

What I did

Designed and calibrated the projection mapping using Disguise and MadMapper. The surface geometry required custom mesh warping across eleven projectors, blended seamlessly across the curved planes. Content was a slow, atmospheric loop built around the whisky-making process — designed to run unattended 24 hours a day.
