BBC Studios commissioned a fully immersive walk-through experience at Earls Court — guests moving through twelve themed rooms, each with its own AV world. I was brought in to programme the Disguise system driving the entire show from a single master timeline.
What I did
Three Disguise servers in sync — one master, two followers. Dedicated sync network isolated from the show LAN, frame-lock across all machines. Custom cue sheet with colour-coded sections per room so operators could monitor all twelve spaces simultaneously.
Each room used MIDI triggers fired by show operators at specific cue points. Hot-spare machine configured and ready to take over in under ninety seconds. The show ran sixteen weeks without a single show-stopping failure.
